Build a Birdhouse Fundraiser to support P-Patch at Vision Greenwood Park

You’re invited to an urban bird talk and birdhouse workshop on Sun, Feb 27th at 2pm. You will have the opportunity to build a birdhouse to display in Greenwood Park’s new Community Garden, or in your own backyard.

This winter fundraiser offers activities for all ages.

2:00 – Welcome, introductions and Mike Stringer, Chair of VGP, will share an update of the Park

2:30 – Urban Bird Talk by local birder Sandra Woods. She’ll give a short talk about urban birds, their habitat and the value of birds in our backyards and parks.

3:00 – Birdhouse building workshop – VGP will supply the basic building materials to complete a birdhouse appropriate for birds that nest in North Seattle.

Bring your own creative ideas and found objects to personalize your birdhouse. The family-friendly project includes hammering, drilling, gluing and painting of wooden birdhouses.
