Celebrate the Southeast Seattle Community History Project June 1!

Join us Friday, June 1 at the Royal Esquire Club, 5016 Rainier Avenue South in the Columbia City Historic District, at 5:30 pm to celebrate the completion of the Southeast Seattle Community History Project.

The celebration, sponsored by City of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Historic Preservation Program, includes new research on the historical roots of Southeast Seattle’s ethnic diversity: www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/preservation/southeastseattle
and new studies by El Centro de la Raza, the Northwest African American Museum, the Wing Luke Asian Museum and the Washington State Jewish Historical Society, as well as:

  • New essays about Beacon Hill, Mount Baker, Rainier Valley, Seward Park and Rainier Beach, and new local history app by HistoryLink.org
  • New multi-lingual poster series 中文  Af Soomaali   Español   Tiếng Việt
