Your feedback is needed on the City of Seattle’s new mobile website

The City of Seattle is seeking public feedback on a new mobile-optimized version of the City’s online services with the release of m.seattle.gov. The mobile site takes advantage of services available on mobile including geographically awareness and can be accessed on any iPhone, Android, or Windows Phone.

The mobile site features easy bookmarking and includes the ability to quickly locate City services and events. The mobile-optimized site also includes:

  • Crime activity displayed by region
  • Power outage maps
  • Traffic & road conditions information
  • Snow plow maps (when snow plows are active)
  • News from the Mayor, Council Members and City Attorney
  • A series of daily web videos on a variety of Seattle topics
  • Live feeds from the Seattle Channel

The mobile site will also feature important safety information when the Emergency Operations Center is actively responding to events in and around Seattle such as inclement weather.

Smartphone users can access the new site by going to m.seattle.gov on their smart phone or tablet and bookmarking it for future use. New mobile web services are under development, and the Department of Information Technology welcomes feedback on the site and ideas for additional features.
