Second public meeting scheduled to discuss zoning modifications for renovation of the Queen Anne Elementary School

Queen Anne Elementary SchoolA second public meeting is scheduled to discuss Seattle School District plans to renovate and construct an addition to Queen Anne Elementary School located at 411 Boston Street. The meeting will be held at Queen Anne Elementary School on Thursday, July 20 at 6:00 p.m. The Seattle School District is requesting modifications (departures) to the City’s zoning regulations for the following:

  • Increased lot coverage.
  • Continued “off-site only” parking.
  • On-street bus loading and unloading.

This meeting serves as the second required hearing before the Queen Anne Elementary School Development Standards Departure Advisory Committee, a group composed of neighbors and School District and City representatives. It will include a presentation by Seattle Public Schools on the requested modifications to the development standards, along with an opportunity to give public comment. Any public comment received at the first meeting on June 6 will continue to be taken into consideration. Following public comment, the Committee will deliberate and consider the District’s requests.
