Calling all Seattle teenagers!

This is your chance to stand up and make a difference in your community while also developing leadership skills to propel you into the future!

The City of Seattle is accepting applications for the Seattle Youth Commission (SYC), a group of Seattle teens from all over the city who are appointed by the Mayor and City Council to connect youth to local elected officials, advise on City policies, and discuss issues faced by youth in Seattle.

Commissioners serve a two-year term beginning in September 2018 and ending June 2020.  The commissioners will meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays of each month at Seattle City Hall from 4:30 – 6pm and will have additional committee commitments. In addition, the commissioners are required to attend a half-day retreat on Saturday, September 22.
