The Greenwood Aurora Involved Neighbors (GAIN) will be celebrating the completion of the Aurora Art Mural with a community celebration on Saturday, October 16 at 10:00am.  Neighbors will have a chance to “meet the artists” and check out the newest improvement to this stretch of Aurora Avenue.  The event will be at the mural site:  10217 Aurora Avenue North. 

The mural is a great example of what a community can accomplish with just a “little” award – the mural was funded in part by the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Matching Fund’s “Small Sparks” award, which is up to $1,000 for community building projects.  More information is here.
