Join us this Sunday for the grand opening of the Magnolia Manor Park P-Patch!

What:   Grand Opening of the Magnolia Manor Park P-Patch
When:  Sunday, April 14, at 1 pm.
Where: 3480  27th Ave W., just north of W. Bertona,  adjacent to the covered reservoir that supplies water to residents on the east side of Magnolia.

This P-Patch is the first one in Magnolia.  It is part of the larger MagnoliaManorPark that surrounds the reservoir.  Actual work on the garden began last November with moving the fence, and grading the area.  Since January, gardeners-to-be have been diligently working two days each weekend to build the shed; move in compost, leaves, and topsoil; lay out pathways, build two huge retaining walls; and install the irrigation system. The area is finally ready for more than 50 enthusiastic gardeners to get down and dirty, and take ownership of their plots.

Following the formal ceremony at 1 pm, there will be refreshments and tours of the garden for you to enjoy. We will have cedar bird houses for sale ($15 each, or $40 for 4), seedlings for purchase, and an observation bee hive to enjoy viewing. We look forward to welcoming you!

RSVP via Email to Susan – Thank you!

Directions for those coming from outside Magnolia: Take the W. Dravus St exit from 15th W.  Go up W. Dravus on the Magnolia side, to almost the top of the hill, turn right on 27th W or 28th W to Bertona. Park, and walk in from W. Bertona on 27th to the entrance to the garden. Refer to the map below.
