The City of Seattle will be hosting a community open house on June 9 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at South Park Community Center to announce strategies that have been identified to strengthen the South Park businesses and communities through the time of the South Park Bridge closure. This list is based on general feedback that had been received from the South Park community, as well as other concerns that have been brought up during one-on-one meetings with the businesses on the 14th Ave S retail corridor. Seattle Department of Neighborhoods hopes to obtain more specific community input on the recommendations that the South Park community supports, as well as other ideas that the City might have missed.
The strategies will be presented at six different stations under the following topics:
1) Environmental Impacts
2) Community Engagement and Youth Opportunities
3) Business Assistance
4) Public Safety
5) Community Involvement
6) Transportation
