Seattle Times reports on Neighborhood Matching Fund supported Chinese Expulsion Remembrance Event

The Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Neighborhood Matching Fund awarded the 2011 Chinese Expulsion Project Committee $19,867 to develop and implement a historical project to commemorate the mass eviction of Chinese immigrant laborers from Washington state 125 years ago.  The project featured a special portable exhibit, a multi-media presentation, a panel discussion, a musical presentation and a march and rally from the exclusion site back to the Wing Luke Asian Museum.  Additional programs were hosted in Bellingham, Olympia and Tacoma.  To read the article, click here.
