Landmarks Preservation Board to consider landmark nomination for Cedar Park Elementary School

The Landmarks Preservation Board will consider the landmark nomination of Cedar Park Elementary School which is located at 13224 37th Avenue NE. The public is invited to attend the meeting and make comments.

When: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 3:30 p.m.
Where: Seattle Municipal Tower, 700 5th Avenue, 40th Floor, Room 4060

If the public is unable to attend, written comments should be received by the Landmarks Preservation Board by 5:00 p.m. on July 17, 2012 to the following address: Seattle Landmarks Preservation Board, Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, P.O. Box 94649, Seattle WA 98124-4649 (mailing address).

The nomination for the Cedar Park Elementary School is posted on Seattle Department of Neighborhoods website (www.seattle.gov/neighborhoods/preservation/landmarks.htm) under the heading of “Current Nominations.” The nomination provides a full description, maps, photographs, and information on the school’s significance.

The Landmarks Preservation Board is administered by the Historic Preservation Program of Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. The program is responsible for the designation and protection of more than 450 historic structures, sites, objects, and vessels, as well as seven historic districts located throughout the city.
