Learn all about Great Blue Herons at this Neighborhood Matching Fund supported event at the Discovery Park Visitor Center from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  All are invited to bring family, friends and neighbors to participate in fun and educational activities centered on the Great Blue Heron who nests in the Magnolia and Ballard neighborhoods.  Don’t miss seeing the Heron Viewing Tower and webcam footage of baby heron chicks. View heron artifacts on loan from the Burke Museum. Take part in the nest building activity by adding your input in moving forward towards bringing heron viewing stations to visitor centers at Discovery Park and the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks.
