Join Citizens for a Safer First Hill as it celebrates its installation of crosswalk flags at 9th Ave & Columbia St on Tuesday, December 8 at 12 noon. This intersection is accessed by various community groups, including seniors, business associates, children, and dog walkers. Despite clearly painted marks on the road and bright safety signs, visibility is difficult due mainly to the parked cars. This project was funded through a Neighborhood Matching Fund Small Sparks award.

Community members can apply to the Small Sparks Fund at any time. If you and your neighbors have an idea to make your neighborhood a better place, you may be able to receive financial assistance through the Neighborhood Matching Fund.
