Seattle Department of Neighborhoods hosts community office hours at The Seattle Public Library

Finding the right person to talk to in city government can be difficult. We are here to help you, and we are making it easier for you to talk to someone at the City of Seattle. In 2025 we started a pilot program that brought Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Community Engagement Coordinator into neighborhood libraries two days a month for community members to ask questions, seek help, or share ideas. People showed up, and the time proved to be a useful opportunity for folks to connect with City staff. We’re excited to announce that we are continuing the DON office hours in 2026! Interpretation will be available through a translator over the phone. City staff will coordinate the call. Click here for a list of languages for translation.

Meet Our Staff

The Community Engagement Coordinators are City staff members who work with Seattle residents to help them with their needs. They can help you find City resources, services, and programs in your neighborhood.
