Hazel Heights P-Patch Grand Opening Ceremony

The Hazel Heights P-Patch Community Garden celebrated its Grand Opening Ceremony on Sunday, March 21, 2010. The event was a success, with over 100 people in attendance, delicious food, live music, sing-alongs, and the official ribbon-cutting. The celebration was emcee’d by Tory Gildred, Becky Sukovaty and Michael McNutt, neighborhood residents actively involved in getting the p-patch off the ground. A variety of special dignitaries spoke, including Jean Godden, a Seattle City Councilmember, and Jeanne Kohl-Welles, a Washington State Senator, who also had the honor of cutting the ribbon.
