The weather is warming. Cherry blossoms are popping. And the days are getting longer here in Seattle. You know what that means; garden season is upon us!
Celebrate Earth Day and kick off your growing season at the P-Patch Resource Fair, Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Northwest African American Museum (NAAM). Whether you are a novice gardener or a seasoned green thumb this free event is open to all and will have a little something everyone. Discover new plant varietals at our seed swap, pick up some organic fertilizer to give your garden a boost, trade tips with other gardeners, and chat with community partners and vendors.
The event will also feature a kids craft table for the little ones, a chance to learn more about NAAM by touring the museum, and a performance from local musician Arami Walker from 10 to 11:30 a.m.
Interpretation services will be available on-site. Community partners and vendors include GROW NW, Tilth Alliance, Washington Native Bee Society, Seattle Office of Labor Standards, Byrd Barr Place, Seattle Giving Garden Network, Seattle City Light, and more!
