Mayor Mike McGinn and a group of volunteers expanded City Hall’s balcony food bank garden on May 8, as part of the “Spring into Bed” effort to promote community gardening in Seattle.  Mayor’s Office staff will tend to the plants over the summer and when ready, will harvest the veggies and deliver to Northwest Harvest’s Cherry Street food bank, located a few blocks from City Hall.
