A delegation from Taipei, Taiwan  visited the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods on November 10.  DoN provided an educational tour of our programs that included visits to I-5 Corridor – a NMF project, Lake City Neighborhood Payment and Information Service Center, North Neighborhood District Coordinator, and Maple Leaf PPatch/Community Garden. 

The tour showcased our success and accomplishments, featuring neighborhood projects, development, and community gardens created by working together with  community members and other City departments. The Taipei, Taiwan delegation was impressed with the  city’s work in civic engagement, community outreach, and our Seattle residents’ volunteerism, leadership, and stewardship.  Click here to view photos from the tour.
