The Seattle Community Farm is a new project of Lettuce Link as part of a Community Food Project Grant from the USDA in partnership with the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods P-Patch Community Gardening Program and Seattle Housing Authority. It is a third of an acre farm in the Rainier Valley that come spring will be producing a large amount of produce for those who struggle to afford it, as well as providing garden and food education.

Grading and terracing on the site is nearing completion and the  first work party will be held on November 20 from 9 am – 2 pm, rain or shine. Work will include wood chipping paths, mulching the farming areas, and building a couple of small retaining walls.  Click here for photos and more information.
