Join us in a celebration of the Maynard Avenue South Green Street – the first completed green street in the Chinatown/International District – this Friday, November 19 at 11 a.m at InterIm CDA office at 319 Maynard Ave. S.   The design honors the Japanese American experience, considering that the project is located in the historic “Nihonmachi” or Japantown neighborhood. In support of sustainable development goals, this project captures and cleans the rainwater from the adjacent Nihonmachi Terrace Apartment’s roof.  The project was supported by a Seattle Department of Neighborhoods Neighborhood Matching Fund Large Project Fund award of $100,000.  For more information, contact Tom Im at 206-624-1802, ext. 17
