Celebrate Neighbor Day on Saturday, February 11

Neighbor DayCelebrate Seattle’s annual Neighbor Day on February 11 by participating in neighborhood activities or just indulging in random acts of kindness. Neighbor Day is a special day set aside to reach out to neighbors, make new friends, and express thanks to those who help make our neighborhoods a great place to live. Residents, businesses, and community groups throughout Seattle are all invited to participate.

SOUTH SEATTLE

Volunteer Work Party
Blackberry plant pulling and native plant revegetation work.
Time:  9am – 1pm
Location:  Van Asselt Swale, 7050 Beacon Ave S

Neighbor Day event
Bicycle raffle and bake sale to benefit Food Lifeline, plus music, art, and kids’ activities.
Time: 10am – 2pm
Location: Rainier Beach Safeway, 9262 Rainier Ave S

Meet Your Neighbors on Neighbor Day
Drop in for coffee, meet neighborhoods in West Seattle, plus kids’ table.
Time: 10am – 2pm
Location: West Seattle Office Junction, 6040 California Ave SW

Neighborhood Cleanup
Celebrate by working with your neighbors to clean up the Triangle Bus Park.
Time: 10 – 11am
Location: Triangle Bus Park – 9200 Delridge Way SW

Neighbor Day Fire Station Open Houses
Tour the stations and meet your neighborhood firefighters.
Time: 11am – 1pm

Georgetown Art Attack
Visual and performing arts presentations at various venues, free transportation on the Art Van.
Time: 6 – 9pm

CENTRAL SEATTLE

Neighborhood Appreciation Celebration
Come celebrate your neighbors. Cookies, punch and coffee will be served.
Friday, February 10

Family Nature Class
Get outside with your preschooler, foster curiosity and explore the natural world.
Time:  9:30 – 11:30am
Location:  UW Botanic Gardens – Washington Park Arboretum, 2300 Arboretum Dr E
$18/Class for 1 adult and 1 child, $9 additional child

The Neighborhood Exchange | Activating Alleyways with Seattle Architecture Foundation
Walk, tour, and presentation; learn how to plan and execute similar community design projects
