Last Friday, staff from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods took to the streets and transformed parking spots all over the city into mini-parklets for PARK(ing) Day. Our goal was to spark conversations with community members, build relationships, and listen to ideas for improving neighborhoods.
We talked with so many people and heard some really great ideas! We’ll go more in depth on what we heard in a later post. For now, we just wanted to give a big THANK YOU to everyone who stopped by to chat with us in the Central Area, Chinatown-International District, Beacon Hill, Wallingford, Lake City, Columbia City, Crown Hill, South Park, Pike Place Market, and Pioneer Square.
