We are recruiting for a Civic Engagement and Leadership Development Lead to oversee:
- People’s Academy for Community Engagement (PACE)– a civic leadership development program dedicated to teaching hands-on engagement skills to emerging leaders.
- Your Voice, Your Choice (YVYC) – a participatory budgeting program which engages people who have not historically been involved in government or budget processes and lets community members determine how to spend part of a public budget.
- Community Liaisons Program – a program that works with independent contractors called Community Liaisons who are expert community navigators and advanced “bridge-builders” to historically underrepresented communities.
- 2020 Census – oversee the strategic development and implementation of the City’s Census Outreach and provides advice and support to the City’s planning and coordination efforts for the 2020 Census, including litigation, county, state, and national coordination, as well as working with the Seattle Census Taskforce.
- Seattle Renters’ Commission and Community Involvement Commission – supervise and support the staff liaisons to these two commissions.
