The Magnuson Garden is competing with 15 other community gardens nationally for one of five $4000 grants from Deloach Vineyards, an organic winemaker.  Magnuson Garden is  locked in a three-way tie with Los Angeles and San Francisco gardens for the final two awards. 

They need your vote!  Gardeners and friends can vote daily on the Deloach/Organic Gardening Magazine website.  So far nearly 2700 votes have been generated.   The contest ends on July 31. 

 A portion of the award would be used to build raised beds for older and physically challenged gardeners.  The other portion will help provide better signage for the P-Patch and four other Magnuson Garden components: the Children’s Garden, the Demonstration Orchard, the Native Plants Nursery, and the environmental restoration group, MESA.
