Councilmember Sally Bagshaw and nearly 30 Interbay P-Patch gardeners, along with representatives from Lettuce Link, Ballard Food Bank, and Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, celebrated the kickoff of the Interbay P-Patch Giving Garden and of all the giving gardens at the P-Patches throughout the city. Last year P-Patch gardeners at Interbay alone donated more than 4000 lbs of food to food banks and feeding programs, and more than 20,000 lbs of food was donated through all the P-Patch community gardens in the city.
