Growing Urban Farms in Seattle: Application Now Available

Marra Farm gardenersSeattle Farms is a city of Seattle pilot project to use land owned by the city for commercial food production.  The goals of Seattle Farms are to address the need for more opportunities to grow and sell food in the city of Seattle and to establish high-quality urban agriculture sites within the city that use sustainable farming and business practices.

Three plots of land are available. Each is approximately 4000 to 5000 square feet in size. Two are located at Marra Farm in South Park. One is located on the 1400 block of Yesler St in the Central District.

If you are an individual, business, or organization that is interested in leasing one of the three parcels available, information and the application is available. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, December 10. 

This pilot project is part of Seattle’s Food Action Plan and is managed by Seattle Department of Neighborhoods P-Patch Community Gardening Program.
