Nominations Open to All-Star Community Leaders for Washington’s “Gold Medal” Jefferson Awards for Public Service

JA_trans_logoSeattle CityClub will honor “Gold Medals” to five Washingtonians through the Jefferson Awards for Public Service. This “Nobel Prize” for public service awards people who make a difference in their community, our nation, and the world through their jobs or volunteer service.

Washingtonians are encouraged to nominate volunteer champions for the 2014 Washington State Jefferson Awards, a national recognition established in 1972. The award recognizes all-star but “unsung” heroes each year who demonstrate the highest ideals and achievements of community service.

“Gold medal” winners will be judged by a panel of community leaders, and they will be formally recognized at a special reception in April. Winners will receive gifted consultation services provided by Wimmer Solutions to help them enhance their community service projects. One winner will be selected as to represent our state at the national ceremonies in Washington D.C.

Visit www.SeattleCityClub.org to nominate your local hero. The deadline is Friday, Feb. 28, 2014. Seattle Department of Neighborhoods is a promotional sponsor.
