Here at the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods, we are working hard to make it easier for people to navigate and interact with local government. Part of that work is recognizing where barriers exist and finding ways to remove them.
Calling 911 is something every member of our community should feel comfortable doing. So, we created a video that provides basic tips and information: when to call, why to call, what to say, and what to expect.
We currently have the video available in nine languages:
- Amharic / አማርኛ
- Chinese (Simplified) / 简体中文
- English
- Somali / af Soomaali
- Spanish / Español
- Tagalog
- Vietnamese / Tiếng Việt
- Korean / 한국어
- Arabic / عربية
Please share these videos with your family and community.
And remember, never hesitate to call 911. Your call can help police prevent or interrupt current and future crime!
