Public meeting scheduled to discuss zoning modifications for development of Webster School

A public meeting is scheduled to discuss the development plans for Webster School (formerly the Nordic Heritage Museum) located at 3014 NW 67th Street.

The meeting will be held Monday, March 19 at 6 p.m. at Ballard High School – Commons, 1418 NW 65th St.

The Seattle School District is requesting modifications (known as “departures”) from select City zoning regulations for the renovation and addition to the Webster School. The modifications requested are:

  1. Greater than allowed lot coverage
  2. Greater than allowed building height
  3. Covered play setback for noise
  4. On-street bus loading and unloading
  5. Reduced on-site parking

This meeting will include a presentation on the requested modifications before the Webster School Development Standards Departure Advisory Committee, a group composed of neighbors, and Seattle School District and City representatives. After the presentation, the public is invited to provide comments. Following public comments, the committee will deliberate and consider the District’s requests. Additional meetings may be held, if needed.

If community members cannot attend the meeting, written comments can be submitted by Friday, March 16 to:
