Photo: javacolleen (https://www.flickr.com/photos/javacolleen/) The City of Seattle is seeking community members to help develop the new Master Plan for Seattle Central College (SCC) to guide the school’s future development. Volunteers would serve on a Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC) which is made up of neighborhood residents with experience in neighborhood organizations and issues, land use and zoning, architecture, landscaping, economic development, building development or educational services who will work with the City and SCC.
The Master Plan includes the types and locations of new physical development on campus and establishes guidelines for the design of future development. It also includes a Transportation Management Plan along with other actions to reduce negative impacts of proposed development on the neighborhood.
The Advisory Committee will meet monthly in the evening on campus for two years or until the Master Plan is completed. More frequent meetings may be necessary at times.
