Every year on the second Monday in October, we come together to honor Indigenous Peoples’ Day: a day that centers Native people by celebrating our ongoing presence and uplifting the deep connections to this land that have existed since time immemorial.
Here in Seattle, Indigenous Peoples’ Day is more than a commemoration. It’s a celebration of living cultures, languages, and communities that continue to shape this region every day. It’s a time to gather, dance, share stories, and stand in recognition of the strength, creativity, and leadership of Native peoples across generations who are so closely connected to the majestic Salish Sea.

Community-Led March
- 10:00 AM – Rally at Westlake Center
- 11:00 AM – March to Native Park
- 12:00 PM – Rally with performances, speakers, and light refreshments
Daybreak Star Cultural Center
Events hosted by United Indians of All Tribes Foundation
Art Reception for Jamie John
- 4:00–7:00 PM – Celebrate the artist and view their work currently on display in the Daybreak Star gallery
Community Dinner, Round Dance & Coastal Jam
- 5:00–9:00 PM – Enjoy food, music, dancing, and cultural connection with the community
