This year, Indigenous Peoples’ Day is on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023. To celebrate the day, learn about your neighbor’s experiences in these Indigenous spotlights and stories.
The City of Seattle observes Indigenous Peoples’ Day as an official holiday in honor of Indigenous peoples past and present. This year, the City continues to recognize Seattle’s Indigenous history and uplift the immeasurable contributions of our Native American communities who have been here since time immemorial.
The City is partnering with employee groups and tribal communities for three celebratory events on Oct. 9, including an event at City Hall from 12-1:30 p.m. All events are open to the public. See the above event flyer for more details.
